Cottonwood Creek Equestrian Center Clinics

Here at Cottonwood Creek Equestrian we have been very fortunate to host some of the top Horsemen and Horsewomen in the world.

A Clinic typically lasts for 3 days and is an excellent learning experience. You spend some quality time with the clinician and meet a lot of nice people as well. Stalls are available for your horse and lunch is typically included for the riders. It is not uncommon to have campfire music or a group dinner out at a local restaurant.

Some clinicians that have visited are:

Craig Cameron – RFDTV’s Extreme Cowboy. Known as the Cowboy’s Clinician Craig is not only a very talented horseman but entertaining as well. His clinics have been labeled “The Ridingest Clinic you will attend”

Al Dunning – Winner of Multiple AQHA World Championships and NRCHA Open Bridle Champion at the Snaffle Bit Futurity and an all around “nice” person.

Dave Ellis – As a Top Rated Parelli Natural Horsemanship Instructor, Dave has come to Cottonwood twice a year for 5 years. We always look forward to his return.

Richard Winters – Well known for his 4 Part Harmony program in preparation for upper levels of performance, Richard has an excellent teaching style that is enjoyed by everyone.

Jack Brainard – An Icon in the Horse Industry. At 86 years young Jack still puts the Flying Lead changes on all his colts and for top industry performers such as Tim McQuay. Jack’s advanced horsemanship clinics are a unique opportunity to learn how to finish a horse.

Leon Harrel – A Cutting Industry Legend known for his gentle way with horses. As a 2 Time NCHA Futurity Winner, Leon has a lot to offer the competitor or novice cutter.

Shawn Flarida – A Top Money Earner in the Reining World. Shawn has too many credits and wins to list. His clinics are ideal for Trainers and serious competitors alike.

Craig Johnson – Winner of numerous Reining Shows and has been part of the U.S. World Equestrian Games since 2000. His easy teaching style makes his Fun-damentals of Reining Clinics a great way to enter the reining world.

Wendy Murdoch – An Internationally recognized riding instructor and founder of the Murdoch Method, Wendy works with all disciplines to teach the effects rider position has on your horse by using correct seat, aids and timing.

We have also been the location for numerous shows by local 4-H groups, Shasta Chapter of the California Dressage Society and Shasta Valley Quarter Horse Assoc.
